If I price per user, and I want these Accounts to be able to subscribe as many users as they want to my app, is that possible? For example, if the Account has 100 Monday users, but only 3 users want to use my app, how do I set that up? Thanks!

Hi everyone,I'm running into an issue with the Apps Framework regarding custom automations, and I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this or if it's a known bug.The Setup:I've built an integration that relies on a custom trigger for file uploads. In the setup, the user authorizes and selects their credentials, which are tied to their external platform's team ID and user ID.The Issue:When a user builds the automation from scratch using the custom recipe, everything works perfectly. The credentialsValues object is properly populated in the webhook payload, allowing us to route the request to the correct external team.However, when we package this exact same setup into an Automation Template and the user installs it, the webhook fires but the credentialsValues object drops entirely and comes through as empty ({}).I think this wouldn’t be the expected behaviour.

Hi,Has anyone been successful in using the Item Values field in the new workflows infrastructure?From https://developer.monday.com/apps/docs/breaking-changes-and-deprecated-features, it seems like Item Values is the new equivalent of the Item Mapping field.In the legacy sentence builder, the when you click on the Item Mapping field, it used to bring up a UI to help map custom object fields to the item columns.However, when replacing it with the new Item Values, this UI doesn’t pop-up with the item columns.Any idea?

Hi All,Has anyone seen this error before:“This automation is missing required fields”The scenario is that we have a custom trigger that triggers a the monday native “create item in board” action. The automation saves and subscribes without any issues. I am creating this automation from scratch in the automation builder.When the automation runs and sends a post to the monday webhook url, we are getting this missing required fields error. This is the body that is sent:{ "trigger" : { "outputFields" : { "order" : { "id": 1 } } }}It seems like the native create item in board is not recognising the order field. Is there a way for it to recognise this key?This seems to work all fine if I use the same workflow in an automation template where the output field “order” is specified in the trigger configuration.

Hi,My app downloads assets from a board using the public_url queried from the API and httpx.When deployed on Monday Code, the DNS of the URL host (prod-euc1-files-monday-com.s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com) resolves but the downloads time out.My app is live but private to the client’s account. It is hosted in US region by default since this is where my personal account is, but the client’s data in the EU region. I suspect this region difference is what causes the packets to be dropped, but activating networking allow list for prod-euc1-files-monday-com.s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com hasn’t made a difference.Would you have an idea of what is happening?My instinct would push me towards asking the client for a licence in their account in order to deploy the app from there but that would make them have to pay for an extra licence.Thank you. 

Is there a easy way to change the base url of an api endpoint in an automation block for a draft version?Just trying to avoid having to manually update each feature every time and then remembering to update when pushing the version to live.

Suppose I have a mirror column which sums the amounts on a numbers column. That column is connected to multiple items. When I make a query like this:query { items(ids: [ids]) { column_values { ... on MirrorValue { display_value } } }}I get a response like this:"items": [ { "column_values": [ { "display_value": "101, 202" } ] }]I would expect that the “display_value” would match what is displayed on my board, and if I want the individual values, I could dig into “mirrored_items”. Is there a way to get the aggregated value from this column, without parsing this string and performing the calculation myself (and determining which calculation I need to perform)?

In the old framework, it wasn’t possible to “publish” to the automation builder (and have them work) blocks which had multiple fields of the same type. The primitive types didn’t exist. BUT you could create custom fields for a trigger output that matched with custom fields on your action and it would match up fine because the custom field was typed.In the new infrastructure, custom fields that are primitives collapse to strings etc. so if you want your action to work with your trigger - it won’t map anymore. But never fear! Just create an automation template and map them yourself! Thats what we did in the old infra - make a recipe.But lo! in the new infra when you load that template it tries to resolve them still and one or both blocks vanish from the recipe and can’t be reselected because its not compatible.So far we’re about 1.5 steps forward and 4 steps back with the new infra. A lot of new native capabilities built in are the steps forward but for actual app features its just steps

Hi,We are migrating the authorization url to new credentials feature. After completing the OAuth process the account is not added in the recipe and there are no error message. We have followed the steps shown in this tutorial by monday.com. Hi,I have an action automation block that has a custom field as input. Both needs the same credentials towards a third party app. In the custom field I have added credentials. In the automation block as well. The custom fields credentials points to the credential added in the automation block. When I use this automation block to create an automation, the custom field gets the filled credentialsValues in the payload correctly. When the automation is triggered, the payload has an empty credentialsValues. How can I achieve to get the credentials also in the trigger endpoint?Thanks an best regards, Marcus

Hi,Just had a question regarding the customer impact of the new workflow migration.In the following post, https://developer.monday.com/apps/docs/automation-features-migration-overview, it says there will be no customer impact and the legacy Integration for sentence builder will continue to run exactly as is. Will the above be true even after the legacy infrastructure is discontinued on 30 April 2026? Or will the customers need to migrate onto the new workflow before this date?Thanks,

Hello,Lately, I've been struggling with automations. I want to maximize the use of Monday.com by creating an automation that updates a connected board column on all linked items whenever a status changes. However, it seems this isn’t possible with the standard automations or workflows.So my question is: does anyone know if an app already exists that can handle this type of automation, or could someone help me build such a workflow in an app?

I've found a bug in the automation blocks If I use the content of a date column named `Date`, it will produce something like "11 March 2026" as the input field value. This is as expected.To get around this, we try using a formula column to get the date in the correct format that we want “YYYY-MM-DD”❌ If I then create a new formula column named "YYYY-MM-DD", and use the formula `FORMAT_DATE({Date}, "YYYY-MM-DD")`, it will still produce something like "11 March 2026" as the input field value, so this really is not behaving correctly❌ If I update the formula to `CONCATENATE("",FORMAT_DATE({Date}, "YYYY-MM-DD"), "")`, it will still produce something like "11 March 2026" as the input field value, so this really is not behaving✅ If I update the formula to `CONCATENATE("__",FORMAT_DATE({Date}, "YYYY-MM-DD"), "__")` it will then produce "__2026-03-11__" as the input field value, we get what we actually expected, but we’ve notw wrapped the correctly formatted date in extra characters.❌ If I upd

Hi everyone,I’ve been diving into the updates and it’s great to see the new support for querying multi-level subitems and the hierarchy_types: [multi_level] argument.However, I’ve hit a wall regarding programmatic creation. Currently, create_board seems to default to the classic structure. While we can now query deep hierarchies, I don't see a way to initialize a board as "Multi-Level" via the API.Are there plans to support multi-level boards creation via API?

So when the legacy automation builder is turned off, what happens to any automations in templates that were created using it? I ask because technically you can’t create new automations on the old infra - but maybe templates will continue to work.

Good day, I am developing a custom application in React. Ideally, to be used as a board view. The issue I am having is that, while the custom board view renders and works fine on PC, I get met with: This feature is currently unavailable on mobile. Please go to desktop to use it. However, using the exact same, identical code as a dashboard widget instead of a board view, allows for the app/feature to be used on mobile (testing done with the most recent version of the Monday app on iOS 16.6.1). This is not ideal, as using a widget for my application feels clunky, and the scrolling is not intuitive. I was wondering if there are certain features that may restrict my application from being used as a board view, or if this is just the case with all React apps. Any advice/info would be appreciated.
