Retry policy for non-200 HTTP status response

Hi devs, is this policy correct? https://developer.monday.com/apps/changelog/clarification-on-retry-policies-for-webhooks-and-custom-actions As far as I can see in our tests, when a non-200 HTTP status is returned, monday retries every 30 secs for 10 times, then stops.

Why am I getting this error with Google Apps Scripts?

How to know if user is a viewer on board view (client side)

How to know retrieve native board id of a mirrored column using API

I’m striving to retrieve the corresponding boardId of a mirrored column when multiple boards and items are connected. Monday SDK (set method) not working as expected

It may be that I’m misusing this method, but it seems as though monday.set('settings', params) doesn’t behave as it should. No matter the value I pass in, the settings remain the same. I’d expect it to update one or more settings based on what I pass in as an argument, but that’s not the case. Would anyone happen to know if this method is broken, or if I’m just not using it correctly? This is the method I’m referring to and I’ve added some screenshots that will hopefully provide additional clarity.

Enhance "developer" board view with column type labels

it would be nice to have the column type listed with the column ID in developer mode in the column heading menu. I know right now we can go to “change column type” to see the column type but not all column types show this menu item. Plus its another click. The value from board.column.type would be preferred.

Inquire API for downloading to data .zip among administrator functions

I understand that the administrator functionality has the ability to download data from all workspaces in the form of a zip file. There is a task that requires periodic backups of data from all workspaces on-premises, and it is cumbersome to go into the administrator’s account and download the data every time. If the function exists as an API, I think the efficiency of the work can be increased a lot, so I wonder if the function exists as an API. If this function does not exist as an API, I would like to ask if there is a way to solve the above task with an API. (After checking the API, there is an indicator called Complexity, and if this indicator exceeds 5000000, data cannot be imported. I am asking because I think the complexity will be very high to import data from all workspaces.)

Is OAuth access token valid across multiple accounts?

I had a look at the Multiple Accounts section here but I couldn’t find info on this. Here is the scenario: -Say we have an app called app1. -User X is part of foo.monday.com. They authorize app1. They’re able to make API calls and get the info they need. -User X is now added to another account/subdomain: bar.monday.com. They authorize app1 in this new instance. A couple of questions: Question is: will the new access token generated after authorizing app1 be valid for API calls done on bar.monday.com only? OR will the new access token be valid for both foo.monday.com AND bar.monday.com? If it’s the latter, will the first access token generated become invalid? Thanks

How to add a userId to remote options url payload

I am creating a custom field type in my integration that derives values from a remote options url. The payload for the remote options field looks like this { recipeId: 30019598123, integrationId: 72966189123, automationId: 72966189123, pageRequestData: {}, dependencyData: null } . This is insufficient for my use case as my application need to know which user has triggered the custom field. I have tried to use the dependencies but that seems to require a manual user input. Is it possible to automatically add a userId value to the payload that is sent to the remote options url?

Creating an external link using monday session information

Hi all, I would like to be able to dynamically generate a link to an external website, probably within a monday board, that would contain (whether it would be sent thru get or post) session information such as the monday user id and account id of the logged in user, so when the user clicked the link, the external website would receive that information and be able to pre-fill a form on the external website with their monday user id and account id. Of course the link itself would be different for each user, as each user has a different id. I’m imagining something like a button that a user could press on their board that would take them to the website in question, or even a url link which could be custom-generated for each user that they could click on somewhere in their board. Is such a thing possible? Can anyone point me in a direction of how to do this, or at least how to grab a logged-in user’s session information to use in a different site? Thanks for your help.

Issues with Authorization url in Feature Integrations

I am building an integration with recipes and will like users to be redirected to my app for authentication before configuring the recipes. So I added a Authorization Url to the feature. Since I am still in development, I used an ngrok url. I get this error when I try to configure the recipe as a normal user would “Sorry, something went wrong, please try again or contact the app developer” . The peculiar thing is that, I noticed it successfully redirected the user to my app url on a few tries but most of the time it just fails with the error above. If I remove the authorization url, I still get the error above but the user can still go ahead and add the recipe to the board. Any help will be appreciated

500 Internal Server Error when uploading file

Trigger full screen mode via monday api

Hi, I am developing a dashboard widget. I’d like to have two different screens for the “fullscreen” mode and the other small screen view. When in small screen, I would like to have a button which upon pressing, switches the widget to fullscreen mode. A similar functionality can be seen in the numbers and battery widget, when we click on the battery, it opens the full screen mode. How is that feature achievable? Any help would be appreciated.

Query huge amount of data

Hello, I am building a dashboard app. I came across an issue with the monday API limits that I wonder what is the best approach to solve it: In one of the features (filtering option), I need to get all possible names (value) in a specific text column. The issue is that the board contains around of 4500~ items. From my understanding, I need to reach the items first in order to get the names in the text column. The issue is the API not allowing me to reach so much data at once because there are so many items. What should I do in order to get all the names in the text column without the api crashing?
