Hey Monday Community!

I’ve been considering the development of a tool that can scan a paper list and turn it into tasks within our Monday boards. Here’s how it would work:

  1. Upload a .pdf or .doc file to the tool.

  2. The tool would then assess if it can extract tasks from the document and present you with a draft of potential tasks.

  3. If the draft meets your expectations, you can:

  • Save it as a reusable template for future lists.

  • OR directly import those tasks to your chosen board on a one-time basis.

I believe this could streamline the process of converting traditional paper lists or old document-based tasks into our Monday boards. What are your thoughts on this? Would it be something you’re interested in?

Looking forward to hearing your feedback!

Sounds very interesting to me @tomasz.pospiech !

Hey @tomasz.pospiech this does sounds super interesting.

I believe there is an app on the marketplace that is able to do something like this called Bitskout. I would say check it out and see where you can do it different.

I don’t think these types of features are super high in-demand (yet), but I’m sure that people would love an app like that and I can already see real use cases for a lot of users.

Hi @tomasz.pospiech ,

Your idea sounds very interesting, did you implemente it? It aligns closely with what we’ve developed at Doc2Board! Our tool already users to upload PDFs or DOC files and automatically converts them into tasks on monday.com boards. Utilizing advanced OCR and AI technology, Doc2Board accurately extracts tasks from your documents and transform in actionable items. Our new app is in the review process and should be launched soon. You can join the closed beta here: https://doc2board.com/

Feel free to reach out for a demo or more information!

Best,

Samantha

We decide not to implement the solution, due to lack of good identification and low interest in the need among our users.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the success of your app 😍
