Hi all, I’m Noah, just some random dude on the internet and not a monday partner (yet?) 😛 I created a new app called “Gamify My Workflow” as part of the Monday hackathon. I built it because I wanted to mix my insatiable desire for more in-game lives with my desire to get work done! The app is actually a bit more than an app, it’s a gamification service. The current iteration allows users to earn in-game lives when they complete tasks (customizable via board recipes). With these lives, users are able to play a fun minigame “Battles!” written in Unity (with more games on the way). Effectively the app uses gamification to boost productivity. For now it’s fairly basic, but I plan on implementing a management dashboard/admin panel to allow for the creation of custom rewards (both in-game, and real-world), leaderboards, full customization of games, and a public API so those inclined can make their own games. The latest addition to our apps for monday.com Sync Subitem Timeline The Sync Subitem Timelines app keeps two Date columns (start and end) in sync with a Timeline column all living inside a subitem. This is a subitem version of the Start + End = Timeline app offered by Excellent Team. There are two integration recipes in this app. One is designed for migration or initial sync (triggered on status change) and another one that synchronizes (triggered on column changes). Both recipes can be configured in the directions “Dates to Timeline” or “Timeline to Dates”. Recipes with different directions cannot be mixed on the same board to prevent building loops. With this recipe the app keeps the timeline in sync with the start and end date (or vice versa). This will update the timeline automatically when any of the two dates (start and end) changes, or – if the opposite direction is chosen – update two date columns whe

With the addition of a status based trigger the app now supports three different trigger types and two methods to define the team. The available trigger types are: When item is created; this recipe can only exists one time in a board. When checkbox is ticked (multiple checkboxes are supported); when the checkbox is unticked the assignment for that item will be cleared. When status change; you can add multiple of these recipes as long as the status value is unique. This enables you to: Define a team to pick from for reviewing the item Define another team to pick from for pricing the item Etc. AutoID Subitems (or AIS for short) generates a unique and highly configurable ID for new subitems. For each item on the board the ID sequence starts with the value given. The app was developed on request of users of the AutoID Column app. As a monday.com development partner we decided to give this a show as soon webhooks were made available for subitems. That happened shortly ago and now we are proud to announce this app made it to the marketplace. The ID can be configured with the content of a column (either in the parent item or the subitem). When your parent item had an AutoID Column generated ID like “MyID-123”, it is easy to create subitem IDs in the format “MyID-123.01” As all our apps there is a 10-day trial period. We get our inspirations to build these from feature request we often see in this community.
