Hello, I’m currently working on a dashboard widget based app for the marketplace and I’m struggling to get values from formula columns. Does anyone have experience with this?

If you are trying to get the result of a formula column via API, that can not be done as of today. The result gets calculated on the client side.

Hi Liam,


You can do it with a 3rd party app, ie. the Advanced Formula Booster which breaks free of the formula column to create formulas. In the Advanced Formula Booster, any type of field can be the target of your calculations. Consequently you can see the values you calculate in any widget.
