Getting Invalid storage access while accessing storage in workdocs

When I was trying to access storage API in workdocs, getting Invalid storage access issue. The methods using are
monday.storage.instance.getItem(key)
monday.storage.instance.setItem(key, value)

Am I missing something? Or any other way to store properties in workdocs.
