Hello everyone,

I'm building an app with sentence recipe automations and need clarification on how they count toward account automation limits.

Context:

  • For example, Standard plan accounts have 250 automations/month limit
  • When using native blocks (e.g., "When item is created"), I see the "Automation is running" notification
  • When using custom blocks (webhook-based triggers), I don't see that notification

Questions:

  1. Do sentence recipe automations from apps that use custom trigger/action blocks count toward the 250 automations/month limit?
  2. Is there any difference if I use native blocks? As in, do native blocks count toward the limit and custom blocks not? Or it is the case that all automations from sentence recipes, no matter how they are built, count toward the limit?

Thanks for clarifying!

Hey @Jeffh30,

This is probably your best resource to review - https://support.monday.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017556179-Automation-and-Integration-actions

This article covers native + custom recipe builder (all no code) automations, however the same principles apply to integration counts. If you create a recipe that is installed from the Integration Centre these should count towards the integration counts, not the automation count.

I believe if you use an inbuilt trigger/action along side your custom trigger/action, the usage for those blocks will count towards automation actions, not integrations.

Ps, take note of how the item mapping pricing works, basically if you use item mapping and a status, tag, dropdown, people or update column is mapped it will count as an additional action per column.
