Can't update item using the API

When I create a new item I get an Id is to big for the update method.
Why the id is an int???

message=‘Variable itemID of type Int! was provided invalid value’, locations=[{line=1, column=57}], problems=[{path=, explanation=Could not coerce value “2150682499” to Int}

2150682499 is the id I’m getting from the create item call.
