We want to collapse a column (e.g. hide) via the API. Does the API support this feature?

Welcome to the Community! I hope you like it here!
If what you are trying to do is hide a column in a board via API so that when someone accesses the board using our UI, they wont see that column, that is not possible as of today. By hiding I mean something like this:
